In light of recent events, myself and the members of the Cosplay Medics of South Florida would like to emphasize that any Cosplay Medics table or booth is a safe space.
If you feel scared or uncomfortable by people or acts being performed, our team is more than willing to help you connect with the proper authorities, internal or external to the event itself.
Part of our mission is to ensure every con attendee has a wonderful experience, and we will do everything in our power to assure that feeling. The Cosplay Medics are here to help in any way we can and do what's in our power to make the experience better for all. We don't just fix things with glue guns and safety pins —although that's what we set out to do— we make human connections at every single convention and event that we do. We strive to make conventions a better place by having attendees know that there is someone you can turn to when your costume is breaking down.
But if you're scared to approach authorities, if someone is making you uncomfortable, if you're looking for a familiar face in crowd, we are here to help.
Here's to keeping the convention community safe for all people —regardless of genders, ages, races, nationalities, sexual orientations, faiths, and of all varying abilities and neurodivergencies!
